Terms and Conditions for the electronic use of Acta Mathematica

This sets out the terms on which The Institut Mittag-Leffler, hereinafter "the Publisher" will make electronic access to Acta Mathematica available via its servers hereinafter "the Servers" to the Institution/Subscriber hereinafter "the User" set out in the order form sent to the Publisher. The subscription fee entitles the User to 'multiple simultaneous accesses to Acta Mathematica for a particular geographical address during a time period in which the User is a fully paid up subscriber’. Without explicit permission different geographical addresses for the same User requires additional licences.

AVAILABILITY

The Publisher shall use all reasonable endeavours to make the Servers available to the User on a 24 hour basis. If the User’s access is suspended or interrupted or a fault or defect occurs which prevents access to the Servers, the Publisher's liability shall be limited to restoring access to the Servers as soon as is reasonably practicable. Otherwise the Publisher shall have no other liability to the User.

All information is transmitted under secure conditions linked to IP (Internet Protocol) addresses supplied by the User to the Publisher or the Publisher’s agent.

The User warrants that such IP addresses are valid for one geographical address only, that the users  are members of its Institution at the geographical address subscribed from and that access to the on line version is only made available to its users through the User’s servers at this geographical address and that the IP addresses registered are all located at that geographical address.

DURATION OF ELECTRONIC SUBSCRIPTIONS

Access to the electronic version of the journal is provided by the Publisher only to Users who maintain an ongoing subscription to the paper journal. On termination of a paper subscription the Publisher may remove a User’s access to past issues of the journal irrespective of whether they are issues to which the User had a paper subscription.

COPYRIGHT AGREEMENT

Information available on the Publishers Server or those servers operated by its agents is all copyright material and the use of any information supplied is limited to viewing, downloading for temporary storage and printing by authorised users; and such authorised users remain liable for any improper or unauthorised use. All articles or any part of an article which is printed from the Servers will contain an appropriate copyright notice restricting further copying of the item. The authorised User shall take all reasonable precautions to maintain the security and integrity of the said material.

All rights reserved. The Publisher reserves the right to refuse access to any individual network or the User at any time.

LIABILITY

The Publisher has taken all reasonable care to ensure that the information, data and other material when placed on the Servers are error-free and up-to-date, however the Publisher accepts no responsibility for corruption to the information, data and other material thereafter, including but not limited to any defects caused by the transmission or processing of the information, data and/or other material.
